Chugach Backcountry Fishing guide and owner Corey Hetrick was once only a guide by foot. Since the Chugach’s beginning in 2006 a fleet of three Willie Drift Boats has come to follow. These boats are custom built by the Willie manufacturer to provide the best fishing platform for river fishing on the Kenai Peninsula. Not only do these boats looks amazing they fish well, they’re comfortable and make for awesome float fishing! Each boat is 20′ in length by 6′ wide. Drift boat fishing makes for quiet and scenic fishing.
New to Chugach Backcountry Fishing fleet is the stylish 20′ Willie Predator. The best and most effective fishing platform on the river. The Wille Predator is most commonly seen on the lower Kenai River where guides are trying to put their clients on a huge Kenai River King Salmon. These boats are very spacious with tons of room to stand up and walk around. This new boat is fully loaded with surround sound stereo making all fishing fun will jamming to some tunes. It is powered by a 50 horse Mercury outboard making fishing more effective as we can hit the best holes on the river over and over again and continue to search up and down river for the bite!
