Kenai River Winter Fly Fishing-

Fishing does not just happen during the summer months in Alaska, it fishes all year long!!  Chugach Backcountry guides are some of the few who brave the winter months for great fishing.  Unknown by many, fly-fishing for winter trout and steelhead can be extremely good.

To make things more enjoyable Chugach Backcountry Fishing continues to use their fleet of drift boats throughout the entire season.  It’s a treat and an unforgettable experience towing a drift boat across a frozen lake and launching off of an ice shelf as if it were a regular boat launch.  Water is low and calm throughout the winter and spring months making for very peaceful and serene fishing experience.

All fishing gear is provided by Chugach Backcountry Fishing.  Clients need to have a valid fishing license, lunch and warm winter clothing.
