Chugach Backcountry vacation home is a remote, family owned retreat located near Moose Pass, 90 miles south of Anchorage. Owned by local professional Alaskan fishing guide, Corey Hetrick, this centrally located vacation home is the ideal place for small and large groups alike to set-up base camp during an Alaskan vacation.
The house is within fifteen minutes of the famous Kenai and Russian Rivers, several lakes and other local fishing spots, and amazing day hikes into the Chugach National Forest. It is located on the more remote Kenai Peninsula and nestled next to 3,000 ft. mountains. In addition to providing spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, it gives the guests a true Alaskan feeling.
The house’s accommodations make traveling easier and less stressful. It has all amenities necessary for a multiple night stay and a home-like atmosphere. The house has modern cookware and appliances, including a refrigerator (to keep freshly caught fish cold) and an outdoor barbecue and fire pit. Settle down in the evening with satellite television and wireless Internet after a long day of catching wild Alaskan king salmon. Though your stay is un-hosted, home owner Corey, will ensure that any additional needs of your party are met.
The house has four spacious bedrooms with plenty of storage space in each one. One bedroom has two twin beds and the remaining three bedrooms each have one queen size bed. Three bedrooms share a hallway and a bathroom with his-and-her sinks. The fourth bedroom has its own private bathroom adjacent to the room. There is plenty of space in each bedroom for additional bedding; sleeping bags, cots, etc. for large parties if necessary.
The living room includes a full size couch, recliner, coffee table, and flat screen TV. Beautiful fish mounts and moose antlers surround the Alaskan lodge living room. A separate parlor leading into the living room has a dinning table and can also serve as the perfect mountain-viewing breakfast nook. This house has it all!

Upstairs Unit
$200/night for two people $25 each additional upstairs unit (3 bed 1 bath)
A 50% deposit is required at booking to hold dates. Credit cards accepted.
Full refunds are provided with a 30-day notification prior to the booking date. After 30 days, no refund will be provided.
